Hi Revan, i have 2 Requests
Firstly they both use holo emmiters so i will ask what i would like.
1. Advanced Radar System 3D (using Holo emitters) Which can be interchangable which will Display Who its targetting by colouring a different spot a different colour as you select between different targets, (but also displays the name of who its targetting)
2. Advanced Scanning system. (which uses memory to store scanned objects and then draws it after)

1. Can do that fairly easily, except the names would be displayed on a console screen, color coded to the player's hologram. 2. Look at orb's tutorial on www.wiremod.comIf I do the first request, I'll probably not get to it for a long while.... sooo.. there's your heads up.

Hi,
can you make an alarm clock with the red radio from engine mod... I can get the time with os time and the time/date decoder. And the radio can be activated with a wired user. But the problem is to set up a timer for it. Just Hours and Minutes and if its over the time the user is activated.
I found this page via the wired defusable bomb i put it in my adv duplicater folder but if I paste it it explodes instantly and is deactivated.

1. Your question is poorly explained 2. I don't use engine mod 3. The adv dup file for the bomb is very old, and the issue you speak of is known and will not be fixed. The bomb was made over 1000 wire revisions ago.

I tried very long to make a defusable bomb on my own but I dont get it... (I randomize a number between 1-3 and I have 3 Buttons with Outputs 1,2,3. If Button is = Random Number it the timer stops. But the problem is the Buttons sends the number about 10-100 milisecons or longer. So any of the numbers has to be the right. There should be a way to save the nubmer of pressed button and then it compares only 1 time.)
//edit: I got it now to make a defusable bomb. I did some expression 2 things and it works now. Next to find out: Replace buttons with breakable bottles...
//edit2: I found a way to make a breakable bottles system... Now its complete! Its very easy with e2
To the question: In engine mod is a radio. If u press use on it it switches between 8 mp3 files that are played and off-mode. But you don't need engine mod for this. If you could replace the radio with any other usable object it would be the same. I think you know how to make a simple clock with wire. Now I want to have 2 Screens and 2 Buttons under each (increse and decrese the number). Then if clock time is e.g. 10.00 and the timer is set up for 10.30. A construction should compare the time with the set-up time and if greater then a user should be activated. This is just it. (Im not that good at english)
//edit3:I even solved this again with e2. Now I have a real alarm clock which can be very useful. (Also sound emitters could been used instead of the radio.)
...If any1 wants I can make a tutorial for those

I'm just wondering how to get the sound files from source games to play through the sound emitters if they are in the .gcf archives in the SteamApps folder? would it be like this portal/portal/sounds/music/no_cake_for_you.mp3 or would it be different because it is compressed

monoffel - can't really help you with easy engine
camz - Start the path from the sounds directory and use it in a sound emitter or E2

I was wondering if u couldn't make a tut on a hovercraft with thrusters.
Basicly, it would keep itself at a certain height all the time, maybe you could even see it slightly floating in the air.

As far as I'm aware of the concepts required to do such a thing are already taught, and it was my intention that you used the lessons from the tutorials to make your own things - so give it a try... here's some hints: 1. It will need stability - so see my gyro tutorial or my jetpack contraption (and there's probably others with this information in it too) 2. It will need a mock stability equation for the vertical axis - so play with the equation that I used for pitch/roll and try and make it work for Z by checking how far away you are from the point you want to be

hey revan. i have a question m8
what would be the equation to create a missile which intercepts a target as opposed to using line of sight
i am currently trying to use the spacebuild entity rocket pod which has inputs of (Fire, X, Y, Z, [VECTOR]
i am thinking its something to do with the vector input. however i have tried all sorts of combos and the missiles just fly off. would u be able to do a quick tutorial on how to create a lead collision missile
thx in advance

Probably not, no. I'm fairly certain it'll change it's output between 0 and 1 based on whether or not it's in water. blazephoenix uh... you'd have to use an E2 and extrapolate the path it'd take by breaking down it's velocity into x, y, z components and then use them to find it's location at the ETA of collision and aim at it...

Yo Revan, I know you must be busy with your life outside of the internet and all that. But could you ... maybe make a new tutorial? I haven't heard from you for months now.

Yeah, actually, I'm planning to redo all of my tutorials from the beginning. I started on that not terribly long ago and now that it's summer I'll probably find time to do more... assuming I don't find myself engulfed in Lua. I revived one of my old projects, though which one it is exactly I'm not revealing at this time.
Oh, and also, I'm probably moving to a phpbb forum soon.... just need to get an addon working right.
